Arpad (Arki) Busson, 47, is the founder and Chairman of the EIM Group, one of the largest fund-of-funds companies in the world. Mr. Busson is also well known for his very active involvement in a number of philanthropic causes around the globe.

Mr. Busson, a French national, was educated in France and Switzerland. He first moved to New York in 1981 where he worked as a real-estate broker. After returning to France to complete his military service in France’s elite Alpine Corps, Mr. Busson again went to New York where he very successfully helped raise assets for a number of hedge fund managers such as Paul Tudor Jones, Louis Bacon, and Lee Ainslie, who have since risen to global prominence in the industry.

In 1991, Mr. Busson founded the EIM Group to provide fund-of-fund management services to the institutional market. Since then, EIM has grown to include offices in North America, Europe, and Asia. Mr. Busson chairs EIM’s Global Strategy Forum and actively travels the world in search of outstanding manager talent.

Mr. Busson is widely recognized as having deep knowledge and experience regarding the hedge fund industry. He has been invited to serve as an industry expert on a number of panels for French, Swiss, German and US regulatory bodies. Mr. Busson is also a founding member of AIMA, the hedge fund industry’s primary professional association.

In addition, since the early nineties, Mr. Busson has been heavily involved in charitable work. He is a founding trustee of ARK (Absolute Return for Kids), one of the fastest growing private charities in the world. Approximately £140 millions have been raised through ARK over the last seven years. ARK finances and manages projects aimed at transforming the lives of children who are victims of abuse, disability, illness and poverty in Eastern Europe, South Africa and the UK.

In addition Mr. Busson and the Busson Family Trust have provided support to many other charities over the years.

Mr. Busson is an avid sportsman. A three-time national champion skier during his school years, Mr. Busson enjoys heli-skiing, shooting, deep-sea fishing and diving. He is the father of two sons, Arpad Flynn and Aurelius Cy.
