Mr. Rajiv Verma has been the Chief Executive Officer of HT Media Limited – one of India’s largest and oldest print media companies – since October, 2004.  Since his advent, HT Media has taken giant strides. Hindustan, HT Media’s Hindi daily has grown from the fifth highest read daily to the second highest; HT Media has created exemplary national brands like Mint, Fever 104 FM and Shine.com; and new businesses like Events and Marketing Solutions have been established. Rajiv has been instrumental in forging partnerships with global brands like Virgin Radio, Hubert Burda Media, Wall Street Journal and Washington Post and in significantly increasing print capacities across the country.

Rajiv Verma has over 25 years of cross-sector experience with reputed companies like Hindustan Lever, Nestle and Whirlpool. His international experience spans South East Asia and Europe, having worked with Whirlpool in Thailand and with Nestle in Switzerland and the Philippines.

Prior to joining HT Media, Rajiv was the Managing Director of Whirlpool, South East Asia, where he was responsible for the P&L of the entire region. He was instrumental in effectively building the regional strategy and for growing the business in South East Asia.

Rajiv is a Mechanical Engineer from the Delhi College of Engineering. He joined Hindustan Lever as a Management Trainee after his graduation and built his foundation over the next 5 years. He left HLL to join Nestle, where he spent over 12 years, handling various portfolios from project management to revamping operations in the Philippines. After Nestle, Rajiv joined Whirlpool India as its crucial Head of Operations for three large manufacturing locations. He was responsible for turning around the operations by deploying various strategic measures like divestitures, manpower rationalization and business re-engineering.
